From Classroom to Job Site
Training combines free in-class instruction led by Glendale Community College faculty, with hands-on learning in real working environments. You’ll finish with work experience and employer connections.
Support at Every Step
You’ll learn in small teams, and be supported every step of the way from application to job placement. You’ll also be assigned a dedicated case manager to provide guidance, assistance, and tutoring resources.
Ready for Work
Along with classroom training, you’ll have access to a range of no-cost services and resources to help you be job-ready, including:
- Paid internships
- On-the-job training
- Resume writing and job interview practice
- Visits to hiring employers
- Job placement assistance
Who Can Enroll
Designed for adults age 18 and older with disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, the Verdugo CNC Machinist Academy is an ideal training opportunity for people with:
- An interest in computers and technology
- A comfort level with performing repetitive tasks
- An ability to follow clear instruction
- Strong computer skills
What to Expect
Classes are small, supportive, and led by dedicated instructors who are here to help students succeed. You’ll be learning to program, set up, and operate CNC machines, use quality control instruments, perform shop mathematics, and read blueprints.

- Let the teacher know when help is needed
